The Role

Join us at the cutting edge of data initiatives at Addepar! We’re on the lookout for a dynamic hands-on Engineering Manager with substantial experience in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Governance (DG). Utilize your leadership and platform management skills to forge innovative solutions and reduce complexity through strategic data architecture.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with product managers and technical partners to identify requirements, set priorities, and devise solutions for complex technological and workflow challenges.
• Acquire a fundamental understanding of core Addepar systems, such as the Addepar Data Lakehouse, to strategically approach AIML Ops and Data Governance infrastructure.
• Develop platform-based solutions for the creation, adjustment, and deployment of ML and AI solutions.
• Simplify workflows by adopting strategic data architecture and processes.
• Unlock the value of data through effective data governance practices.

Who You Are

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience and educational background in platform management focusing on ML and AI outcomes.
• Possess a confident, positive outlook with low ego, paired with high ingenuity, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in agile practices, prioritizing experimentation and iteration while guiding teams toward optimal activities and processes.
• Comfortable working within a cloud context, including automated infrastructure and service-oriented architecture.
• Proven experience in Data Governance initiatives with a track record of improving data outcomes.
• SaaS/Cloud experience is a significant advantage.
• Experience with Python is a plus.

Our engineering stack centers on PySpark and Databricks; experience with these technologies is preferred.
