Role Overview: Marketing Decision Scientist

As a Marketing Decision Scientist at Meta, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of social scientists, contributing to all phases of market research, including survey design, execution, and data analysis. Your role will crucially involve developing innovative approaches for complex research challenges and delivering actionable insights that guide both product development and marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and manage the team's research agenda, leading projects from start to finish.
  • Work closely with both Consumer and Business Marketing research teams to define pertinent research questions and methodologies.
  • Implement advanced quantitative techniques to address research questions.
  • Formulate comprehensive measurement strategies to support product and business decisions.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with over 5 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with at least 1 year of experience in market research, focusing on consumer behavior and survey methods.
  • Proven expertise in leading end-to-end market research projects.
  • Ability to present complex data in terms accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in SQL and statistical software such as R or Python for data analysis and modeling.
  • Pending or completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in social sciences or quantitative fields such as Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Statistics, Econometrics.
  • Deep knowledge of quantitative and survey research methods.
  • Understanding of market segmentation and consumer marketing strategies.
  • Strong interest in marketing strategy and problem-solving.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $156,000 per year, in addition to bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Final individual pay is determined by location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
