Job Summary:
The Marketing Data Analyst II position is tasked with fulfilling all reporting requirements for various divisions. In your role as a Marketing Data Analyst II for SelectQuote, you will liaise closely with internal marketing team members as well as other department members to create and examine measures that will be utilized to meet performance targets for a multimillion-dollar annual marketing budget. This includes both operational and financial indicators. This role is data-driven, with the analyses guiding business decisions, offering the chance to have an immediate impact on the business's performance.
Essential Functions:
- Perform detailed, quantitative analysis work connected with developing valuable insights into business performance.
- Standardize and sustain measures within the cube, Power BI, and other reporting interfaces.
- Assess performance of various marketing channels based on operational and financial results.
- Possess the capability to evaluate unit and aggregate economics of channels and suggest changes to the current optimization strategy.
- Offer variance and impact analyses of lead generation, cost, revenue, and contribution margin.
- Collaborate closely with internal marketing team members to generate ad hoc reporting as needed to ensure each team has the necessary data to reach KPI targets.
- Work together with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Accounting department members.
- Act as the subject matter expert and provide business direction to the Data Science, Data Enablement, Business Intelligence, and Telecommunications groups.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Outstanding analytical capabilities (projections, costing, budgeting, etc.).
- A high degree of self-motivation with a capacity to achieve goals independently.
- Articulate and well-spoken with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented aptitude where a high level of accuracy is necessary.
- Quick learner who is career-oriented and seeks additional responsibilities as earned.
Training and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with SQL – 4+ years of experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects, channels, and segments simultaneously in a cross-functional team.
