Job Overview:

Team Summary:
The Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS) team at Visa provides essential risk management services to banks, merchants, and other payment networks. Utilizing advanced machine learning and AI models designed by the Visa Predictive Models (VPM) team, we offer real-time insights to help our clients manage risk effectively. As we grow our suite of predictive models, we are seeking passionate engineers to handle large data volumes, create automated processes, and standardize ML/AI tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement practices for deploying machine learning models in large data science projects.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders in RaIS Product, VPM Data Science, and Visa Research.
  • Build and maintain large-scale data engineering pipelines and systems supporting ML/AI models.
  • Design and create effective engineering solutions for our strategic roadmap.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and associated technologies such as Apache Spark, Python, and Pandas.
  • Strong experience in data engineering, quantitative analysis, SQL, and data processing using Hadoop, EMR, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience handling complex, high-volume, multi-dimensional data sets and machine learning models.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience developing and executing large-scale ETL processes for data quality, reporting, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining Spark pipelines for ML models.
  • Strong development experience in Golang, Java, Python, or Rust.
  • Expertise in big data and real-time stack technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Redis, Flink.
  • Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, SageMaker, and managing distributed data environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ML concepts, model serving engines, and frameworks like TensorFlow and Triton.
  • Experience with UNIX/Shell or Python scripting, and scheduling tools like Airflow and Control-M.
  • Strong exposure to data pipeline creation, feature engineering, and deploying large-scale ML/AI models.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, containerized environments (Docker, K8s), and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI is a plus.
