Join Our Team as an Observability Tech Lead at Expleo

Are you passionate about designing and developing high-quality observability platforms? Expleo is seeking a seasoned Observability Tech Lead to enhance our internal monitoring, diagnostic, and optimization capabilities across cloud, on-prem, and data center environments.

Role Overview

As the Observability Tech Lead, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, product managers, and partners. Your mission will be to define the observability strategy, create a comprehensive roadmap, and implement best practices. Additionally, you will provide mentorship and coaching on observability, machine learning, tools, and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of the observability platform, including metrics, logs, traces, events, alerts, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with various teams and customers to understand their observability requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Establish and enforce observability standards, guidelines, and processes.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new observability technologies and frameworks to enhance user experience.
• Conduct peer reviews, providing feedback on performance, scalability, security, and compliance.
• Manage large volumes of data, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
• Develop and operate scalable, reliable, and distributed systems capable of handling high traffic and complex workloads.
• Identify opportunities to automate solutions for recurring issues, ensuring system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in product development and full-stack engineering, with at least 5 years in developing and operating observability platforms, preferably in a cloud-native environment.
• Strong expertise in one or more observability tools such as Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog, NewRelic, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, etc.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Go, Python, Java, or C#.
• A passion for observability and delivering high-quality internal platforms.
• Experience with machine learning and Generative AI for predictive monitoring, incident diagnosis, summarization, and chatbots.
• Expertise in developing observability solutions for monitoring On-prem and Public Cloud environments.
• Experience in building a unified cloud observability platform to monitor network, compute, storage, operating systems, security, and applications, including SaaS platforms.
• Understanding of implementing observability solutions for large-scale on-prem infrastructure and networking.
