Job Description

Within an R&D center of over 100 people, you join an international team of 50 people based between Annecy (France) and Noida (India), responsible for the design and development of the brand new regulatory reporting software called PURE. These developments are part of the group's initiatives around Big Data technologies and Artificial Intelligence.

PURE (Pioneering the Unified Reporting Experience) is the new Cloud Native/Big Data/Analytics regulatory reporting solution from Sopra Banking Software. It is based on the DevOps-oriented platform developed by SBS. It offers many services that optimize the reporting activities of our large portfolio of client banks. PURE is operated as SaaS on AWS by our teams.

As a member of the Core Team responsible for defining the functional and technical orientations of the PURE solution, you will define the architecture of the data acquisition common layer of the PURE solution in a Cloud agnostic context.

In this context, you collaborate with technical and functional architects located in Annecy and Noida, as well as with the architects of other Sopra Banking Software components working on the same issues.

Your missions are as follows:
- Understand the functional needs to serve and challenge them with the teams responsible for the Offer. The goal is to acquire large volumes of data, perform quality setting, explore and provide indicators, all around our business cases.
- Propose architecture solutions and the data-oriented technical stack that will implement the functional needs
- Consider the needs for industrialization of the solution deployment in a multi-tenant environment
- Implement mock-ups to validate the proposed architectures
- Consider problems related to volume and horizontal scalability needs
- Supervise the solution developments carried out by the agile teams
- Participate in the data initiatives conducted by Sopra Banking Software and the Sopra Steria Group

Technical stack: Apache Spark / MongoDB / ClickHouse / Metabase / Cloud / Kubernetes / Java / GitLab
Environment: OpenSource development environment, Agile development teams, all communications are done in English

Qualifications

With a degree in IT engineering, you have 10 years of experience in data-related technologies and have already led design or architectural work in a Big Data context.
You also have an interest in Banking functions.

You have a very good knowledge of Big Data architectures as well as the Data Lake domain.
You have a good understanding of the problems associated with cloud platforms and databases.
DevOps / Container Architecture experience (Docker, Kubernetes) is required.

You are able to express yourself daily in English, both orally and in writing.
