PhD Researcher Role: Generative AI for Autonomous Driving

We are actively seeking three PhD candidates with a deep passion for generative neural networks, simulation, and large-scale foundational model training. This role is essential in refining and enhancing our data assets, extracting maximum value from our wealth of sensor data. Your work with generative neural networks and cutting-edge machine learning methodologies, including self-supervised learning techniques, will identify intricate patterns and advance intelligent, data-driven decision-making.

Collaborate with renowned research organizations in the USA and Germany, contribute to international conferences, and publish groundbreaking research.

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Master's degree with highest honors in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related highly quantitative discipline
  • Fluency in English and/or German
  • Strong programming skills in Python/C++
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Ability to think independently and proactively
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of object detection, tracking, reinforcement learning, or generative networks
  • Experience with Bayesian inference or Monte Carlo methods
  • Experience with ROS

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with cloud computing services like Slurm, AWS, or Azure
  • Published work in conferences such as CVPR, ICML, ECCV, ICCV, or Siggraph
  • Proficiency in optimization methods
  • Experience with LiDAR, RADAR, or camera sensors
