Department Overview

Our Advanced Upgrade Solutions (AUS) team is composed of passionate individuals committed to modernizing Motorola's customer systems. We are developing the next-generation ASTRO Upgrade Server—a cloud-connected, containerized platform designed for rapid and reliable software delivery. Job Description

As a Platform Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new AUS features and creating a development pipeline
  • Creating automatic integration tests
  • Documenting your work
  • Testing and validating outcomes
  • Collaborating closely with various teams within and outside of the Cracow site

We work in SCRUM and offer a fully flexible hybrid model.

Basic Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Practical knowledge of Linux (RHEL preferred) from a user perspective
  • Experience with Python and/or Linux shell scripting (Perl/Bash)
  • Theoretical understanding of containerized solutions and virtualization paradigms
  • A degree in computer science, telecommunications, automation, robotics, or a related field
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and analytic problem-solving approaches
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and switch between tasks and technologies
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

Familiarity with the following is a plus:

  • GIT and JIRA experience
  • Jenkins and/or pipeline build & integration tests
  • Node.js and/or Java
  • Networking protocols and network services
