About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to a team that explores cutting-edge methodologies in code analysis and generation using advanced architectures of LLMs. A notable past work in this space includes Code LLama. Our mission is to develop state-of-the-art algorithms with a strong emphasis on open research and scientific innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to solve real-world problems and advance the state-of-the-art in code generation with LLMs, focusing on long-context inputs and long-form outputs.
  • Independently design, implement, and train state-of-the-art models on large datasets, and rigorously evaluate their performance.
  • Author and revise research publications based on feedback from peers, mentors, and reviewers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or having completed a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or an equivalent field. The degree must be obtained before joining Meta.
  • Research experience in areas such as LLMs, code analysis and generation, machine translation, machine learning, deep learning, or related fields.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Strong knowledge of deep learning and neural networks.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and shell scripts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing scalable machine learning models, particularly in code analysis and generation with LLMs, unsupervised/semi-supervised training, or relevant areas.
  • Hands-on experience in large-scale model training, algorithm implementation, and LLM evaluation.
  • A strong publication record in leading conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, or similar.
