Power BI Developer Lead - Join Leidos Health & Civil Sector

Leidos Health & Civil Sector is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI Developer Lead to join our dynamic team. This position will directly support our programs, providing a wide range of information, resources, referrals, mental health coaching, and specialized support for military members and their families worldwide. These programs play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life within the military community.

About the Position

Job Posting in Anticipation of Future Work: The Power BI Developer Lead will be responsible for developing, designing, and configuring data analytics solutions that support data gathering and efficient, high-quality service reporting, driving continuous improvements. You will collaborate closely with the Power BI Analyst to understand program requirements, client goals, and end-user needs to develop and configure appropriate Power BI reporting functionality.

Key responsibilities include incorporating analysis frameworks into Power BI reporting infrastructures, accurately capturing diverse data sets from multiple data platforms, and ensuring the integration of these reports into MOSAIC dashboards. This remote position requires a quiet, private workspace and access to reliable high-speed internet via a hardwired connection (coax or fiber from the ISP). Mobile hotspots or wireless ISPs are not acceptable.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end development, deployment, and maintenance of multiple Power Platform solutions, including MOSAIC, supporting strategic leadership decisions.
• Oversee administration of the Power Platform, including environments, licensing, and connectivity.
• Gather requirements and support development teams with upgrades and content creation, providing leaders with actionable insights for better decision-making.
• Oversee the data/report request process: tracking submissions, approval, prioritization, and ensuring data accuracy.
• Lead cross-functional projects using data analysis techniques to guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
• Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, modeling, visualization, and communication of deliverables.
• Develop, implement, and adhere to quality controls and standard operating procedures in line with organizational expectations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related field, with 5-7 years of development/analytical experience; or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of programming and working with data within relational databases.
• Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Power BI stack.
• Familiarity with Git and/or AWS DevOps tools for development and version control.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Professional.
