Key Responsibilities

• Design and build robust BI solutions on AWS, including sophisticated data pipelines, extensive data warehouses, and dynamic reporting dashboards.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to comprehend BI requirements and effectively translate them into actionable technical strategies.
• Develop, test, and manage ETL processes, utilizing various AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and RDS.
• Architect and optimize data models to meet the evolving demands of reporting and analytics.
• Enhance data manipulation, transformation, and aggregation through optimized SQL queries and scripts.
• Create and refine interactive dashboards and reports using tools like AWS QuickSight and Microsoft PowerBI.
• Ensure uncompromised data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within all BI projects.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that aid in strategic decision-making.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members on best BI practices and effective use of AWS technologies.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging tools in BI and data analytics.

Professional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BI Engineer, particularly on the AWS platform.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI, Amazon Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, and AWS Glue.
• Profound understanding of data modeling, ETL frameworks, data warehousing, and data governance concepts.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and other scripting languages tailored for efficient data handling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of crafting and executing inventive solutions to complex data issues.
• Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and familiarity with version control systems.
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks effectively.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in IT or related field.
• Certifications like AWS Certified: Solution Architect Associate or AWS Certified: Data Engineer will be considered an advantage.
