Essential Responsibilities

The successful candidate will collaborate across various teams to construct domain ontologies, supporting broad enterprise projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Formulating and governing optimized data models after thorough consultation with stakeholders.
• Spearheading data integration and harmonization efforts aligned with enterprise standards.
• Communicating the significance of semantic technology and promoting standardization initiatives across the company.Supporting the integration of semantic technologies into Capital One products and services through partnerships with Technology and Machine Learning teams.
• Managing ontology tools and implementing knowledge organization strategies that employ machine learning and semantic enhancements.
• Meticulously updating and testing models to enhance system functionalities.

Who We Are Looking For

Candidates should exhibit a strong curiosity and a keen interest in continuous learning with advanced skills in ontology and data modeling. Required qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum three years of experience in metadata, or a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in W3C standards, including RDF, RDFS, OWL, and SKOS, and experience with ontology and linked data tools like Protégé, Stardog, or Neptune.
• Adept at SQL or SPARQL, and familiarity with Agile methodologies and AWS is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $134,100 - $153,000, dependent on experience and job location. The role is based in New York City with a hybrid work schedule, and includes robust incentive compensation packages, encompassing cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
