Job Description Summary

As a Principal Clinical Data Manager at BD, you will handle end-to-end Data Management activities for designated studies. Your expertise will ensure that data is consistently processed and validated, meeting high-quality standards for statistical analysis within scheduled timelines. This role not only demands acute attention to detail but also leadership in process improvement and team development.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership and clarity in data management within clinical study teams.
  • Oversee the collection, processing, validation, and management of clinical trial data.
  • Ensure quality and standardization in accordance with BD’s protocols by authoring and revising data management documents and plans.
  • Manage database implementation, lock, and close-out processes.
  • Conduct database User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and related tasks.
  • Offer mentorship and training to junior Data Management staff.
  • Up to 10% travel as required by the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ direct data management experience.
  • Advanced organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with EDC systems, preferably Veeva, and competence in Excel and/or SAS programming.
  • Strong project management skills and capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
