The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an adept Principal Data Analyst – Group Compliance to join our high-performing team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Compliance Hub through a broad spectrum of activities including data analytics, data modelling, data architecture, and reporting.

This role requires a collaborative approach across the enterprise to aid in identifying, organizing, and implementing compliance initiatives. These initiatives are crucial for Medibank to proactively manage its risks, compliance obligations, controls, actions, and incidents effectively.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) system data.
  • Enhance data security and governance in line with internal procedures.
  • Conduct trend analysis and recognize key themes.
  • Develop and manage risk and compliance reports and dashboards.
  • Improve process design and workflows within the GRC.
  • Prepare management reports for senior committees.
  • Guide technological advancements and procure new GRC technologies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Over ten years in a senior data analytics/reporting role.
  • Expertise in programming languages like SQL and Python.
  • Strong experience in data manipulation and visualization with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and various cloud platforms.
  • Deep knowledge in data modeling, database design, and data architecture focusing on data security.
  • Capability in model building, testing, and deploying significant platform transformation projects.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management, project management, and delivering high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with GRC platforms and relevant risk and compliance roles considered advantageous.
