Principal Data Analyst (IROCC) - Job Opportunity
Position Summary
The Principal Data Analyst, IROCC will develop innovative tools and applications to preemptively identify risks in our Ethics and Compliance programs. This global role provides analytics support to Ethics and Compliance SMEs across all our operational markets. The candidate will synergize data from various platforms, build and sustain BI dashboards to pinpoint risks, measure program maturity, draw critical insights, and communicate results effectively to the SMEs in business terms.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Modeling:
- Translate business challenges into data-related solutions.
- Apply appropriate modeling techniques to solve complex problems involving large structured and unstructured data sets.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, including basic statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and statistical inference.
Tool and Dashboard Development:
- Build and support BI dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and BigQuery to provide insights and drive business decisions.
- Visualize complex data and provide clear, impactful presentations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Ethics and Compliance stakeholders to translate business problems into advanced data science solutions.
- Advise on analysis and modeling techniques, selecting the best fit for various data structures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Develop processes and tools to monitor, analyze, and continuously improve model performance and data accuracy.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and leverage technological solutions to manage risk effectively.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong mathematical knowledge, especially in statistics.
- Proficiency in coding with R or Python and familiarity with SAS, SQL, VBA, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Ability to process and analyze large datasets for statistical modeling.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a continuous learning mindset.
- Experience with database technologies and distributed datastores (SQL, NoSQL).

Minimum Qualifications
Outlined below are the minimum qualifications required for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or a related field and 4 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce industries.
- Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau).
