This hybrid role is based in our Addison, TX office.

Role Overview

As a Principal Data Analyst for Strategic Initiatives at CarOffer, a subsidiary of CarGurus, you will spearhead analyses that influence the company’s strategic directions. You’ll synthesize complex data into actionable insights, aiding in high-level decision-making across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver incisive, data-driven analysis to shape company strategy and foster informed decision-making.
• Conduct market evaluations and competitive assessments to spot financial opportunities and priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions based on detailed, strategic data analyses.
• Generate and manage core metrics to track and analyze business performance.
• Support major projects that enhance operational efficiencies and uncover new avenues for growth.

What You’ll Bring

• Over 5 years of experience in data analysis or consulting, ideally within the technology sector.
• Academic background in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, or related fields. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Expertise in statistical tools and BI software like Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
• Exceptional analytical proficiency and the ability to communicate complex data in an understandable manner.
• Experience in driving cross-functional projects and initiatives.
