Job Description Summary

We are currently seeking a Principal Data Manager to join our diverse data management department. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills, allowing you to lead key data management projects, provide resource management support, and collaborate with the Director of Data Management. You'll be ensuring the delivery of top-quality data management outputs and excellent customer care across our various global locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Data Management team on assigned projects, providing direction regarding work assignments, scheduling, and prioritization.
• Act as the main point of contact for the Sponsor and other project stakeholders from the Data Management perspective to develop data collection specifications.
• Manage data flow activities and deliver high-quality databases in line with project plans.
• Ensure Data Management tasks are completed on time and within budget for the assigned studies.
• Provide strategic input for process improvement and new standards development.
• Integrate scientific and medical knowledge into data management processes to ensure effective data collection tools, validations, and clinical dataset integration.
• Analyze data capture issues and opportunities, developing and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Offer consultancy on all aspects of Data Management to other external groups.
• Educate and train staff on study-specific data collection tools and query management processes.
• Represent Data Management in internal and external meetings, such as Investigator's Meetings and Kick-Off Meetings (KOM).
• Lead and support data management activities for both client and internal projects, including complex ones.
• Design and guide the process for Case Report Form (CRF) approval and ensure that tasks are performed within budget and timelines.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in life science, pharmaceutical, biology, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in the data management field, preferably in a pharmaceutical or Contract Research Organization (CRO) environment.
• Expertise in one or more Data Management systems or processes.
• Proficiency in English.

Education

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, Life Sciences, or Pharmacology.
