About the Role

The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization seeks a dedicated Principal Data Manager (DM) to join our team in Plano, TX. As part of the Data Management, Engineering Support, and Execution (DEX) department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products are controlled and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify data deliverables specified in contracts
• Build and manage a data track in a Product Data Management (PDM) system
• Collaborate with the Program Office to identify data preparers and review data for compliance
• Secure programmatic approval and deliver information to customers timely
• Review sub-tier contractor requirements and manage data tracks for supplier submissions
• Ensure configuration control of non-deliverable program work products

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, OR an Advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience, OR 9 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree
• Experience with Data Management productivity metrics and reports
• Proficiency in Windchill or similar PDM tools
• Ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Preferred:

• Knowledge of government standards such as EIA-649 and GEIA-859
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret schedules and milestone requirements
• Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and CMMI
• Active DoD clearance
