About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to strengthen our team. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in data analytics, hands-on experience in optimizing replenishment strategies, and resource allocation within supply chains. Strong coding skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor the Optimization algorithm written in Python using Object-Oriented Programming.
• Apply the latest data science techniques to solve business problems in Supply Chain and Optimization within the Retail and CPG sectors.
• Utilize advanced statistical techniques and data science algorithms to analyze large datasets, deriving actionable insights related to replenishment optimization and inventory allocation.
• Develop and implement predictive models and optimization algorithms to enhance inventory management, minimize stockouts, and optimize resource allocation across the supply chain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of various replenishment strategies and allocation policies.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to replenishment and supply chain allocation, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data science, replenishment optimization, and supply chain management, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation within the organization.
• Collaborate, coach, and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.

Requirements

• Proven experience: 6+ years as a Data Scientist, focusing on optimization and inventory allocation.
• Educational background: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience with mathematical programming solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress MP, CPLEX, or Google OR Tools in practical applications.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, optimization techniques, and predictive modeling concepts.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Pyspark, and SQL, along with experience using data analysis and machine learning libraries.
• Ability to apply various analytical models to business use cases.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business needs, deliver solutions, and explain them to stakeholders.
