Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Machine Learning Generative AI Data Engineer at FM Global, you will:

• Leadership: Lead the development of Generative AI and AI/ML solutions, build data pipelines, transition data science prototype models to production, fix production issues, monitor operations, and maintain Azure infrastructure.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists to understand their data needs, create data pipelines, and mentor junior team members. Take data science model prototypes from inception to production.
• Continuous Improvement: Enhance code deployment and model monitoring frameworks, and document project operations for continuous improvement.
• Technical Competency: Design and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensure high-quality code with robust test coverage, and lead code reviews to uphold best practice standards.
• Passion for Technology: Stay current with trends in MLOps, machine learning, and AI, and share knowledge to keep FM Global at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications

To be considered, you must have:

• Technical Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience with Generative AI, AI/ML solutions, Spark SQL, Neural Networks, NLP, Cognitive Search Capabilities, and Python or R programming. Experienced in libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, R (tidyverse, glm, caret), MLFlow, and SQL.
• Model Development: Expertise in designing and implementing generative AI models using techniques like GANs and VAEs.
• Algorithm Optimization: Proficiency in optimizing algorithms for generative AI models and applying NLP techniques for text generation projects.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Curiosity and Innovation: Strong desire to explore and improve machine learning models from design to deployment.
• Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field from an accredited institution.
