Position Summary

Join the Acadia Quant Services market data team in Dublin! As a Principal Market Data Analyst, you will collaborate with our operations and development teams across the US, Ireland, UK, Philippines, and Germany. This team is integral in the construction, validation, maintenance, and analysis of market data and reference data used for our risk calculation (ISDA SIMM) and backtesting services. We support OTC portfolios across diverse sectors including rates, FX, equity, credit, commodities, and fixed-income derivatives. Working with market data is pivotal to our pricing strategies, and you will closely engage with our quant development, DB development, support, and reconciliations teams to enhance quality and drive product development.

Role Responsibilities

As a Principal Market Data Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing, deploying, and testing new market data.
  • Documenting market data models.
  • Monitoring the quality of market data.
  • Assessing the quality of derivative pricing.
  • Driving improvements in data modeling and pricing.
  • Enhancing our internal tooling and pricing software.

Experience and Qualifications Required

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of financial derivatives pricing.
  • Competence in Python scripting (pandas, numpy, requests/http).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration processes.
  • Ability to research and present models.
  • Experience with at least one market data vendor (Refinitiv preferred).

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be highly numerate with a degree or equivalent experience in quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, or science-related fields. You should have substantial experience in financial markets and products, particularly in risk management, product control, or middle office environments. Additionally, familiarity with the product development lifecycle is essential.
