Position Summary

In your new role as a Principal Operations Data Analyst, you will be responsible for thorough extraction and analysis of finance and operational data, ensuring quality maintenance of databases, and developing robust tools that support broad analytics initiatives. With a focus on strategic solutions, you will enhance data accessibility and quality, directly contributing to escalated and efficient leadership decision support.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring your presence in Oakland, CA at least once per week, with flexibility depending on business requirements.

Salary and Compensation

Pacific Gas and Electric Company values transparency in compensation. We offer a competitive salary range of $136,000 to $232,000 annually, based on qualifications, experience, and market standards in the Bay Area. Additionally, this role qualifies for our discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead complex data analysis projects from conception to completion, employing advanced statistical tools and delivering actionable insights.
• Champion and implement Lean best practices and drive adoption of modern financial technologies including machine learning and AI, integrated with platforms like Snowflake, Foundry, and SAP/S4 Hana.
• Create automated data routines for seamless reporting and data delivery.
• Communicate strategic visions and project statuses effectively across different stakeholders, promoting broader understanding and engagement.
• Develop, review, and optimize predictive models using foundational data science techniques.

Qualifications

Minimum: BA/BS Degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Desired: Master’s degree in a related field, proficient with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and familiar with Power BI, Tableau, Foundry, Snowflake, SAP/S4 Hana, as well as programming languages like Python and R.
