Role Overview

Are you passionate about using technology to propel a multi-billion-dollar business? Does the idea of powering global travel through efficient use of data, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) excite you? If so, read on to discover what you'll do in this pivotal role:

  • Define the vision, strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plans for pioneering AI products across all Expedia brands and lines of business (Lodging, Air, Activities, etc.).
  • Identify new business opportunities through keen data and research analysis, sizing opportunities, defining MVPs, securing senior leadership buy-in, and validating investments through pilots.
  • Drive product requirements and spearhead execution for Expedia’s most strategic product investments.
  • Lead diverse cross-functional teams including ML and Tech engineering, data science, UX, and marketing.
  • Organize workshops and foster strong partnerships with front-end product teams to encourage adoption of AI products through innovative business use cases.
  • Apply storytelling and persuasive communication to link vision, strategy, and action plans at the organizational level.
  • Develop processes to minimize tech complexity, hasten time-to-market, and recommend organizational enhancements.

Who We Are Looking For

You are a recognized leader endowed with a bias for action and a talent for influencing senior stakeholders through stellar communication abilities. You thrive in designing technical products leveraging data, ML, and AI. You are adept at navigating complex organizational landscapes and ensuring alignment on pragmatic solutions. Your qualifications include:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in product management post-bachelor's degree (additional experience required for master’s degree holders), including at least 5 years in shipping ML and AI-centric products.
  • Demonstrable expertise in key AI and ML product areas such as search ranking, recommendation engines, or generative AI.
  • Strong financial acumen to understand daily business performance, build financial models, and balance priorities.
  • Preferably holding a BS or BA in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
