Position: Quality Assurance Automation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Automation Manager to collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, Operations, and Customer Services to enhance software quality for our existing and upcoming products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build a deep understanding of the C3 AI Suite and SaaS application to thoroughly grasp all use case scenarios.
• Work with program and product management on prioritization of deliverables and resource allocation.
• Drive test planning, test case creation, and execution to support ongoing C3 AI product releases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, triage, and track defects to resolution.
• Generate and report test status to stakeholders, advocating strongly for product quality.
• Ensure QA Automation engineers invest time in automating test cases for improved productivity.
• Establish and enforce best practices and standards, including acceptance criteria and go/no-go recommendations.
• Set team members' quarterly objectives, plan career growth, and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Recruit and retain exceptional talent to achieve team growth objectives.
• Manage, mentor, and guide the Redwood QA Automation team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) from a 4-year university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing a QA team focused on enterprise applications, SaaS, or PaaS.
• Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Background in UI and/or API test case automation.
• Proficiency with CI/CD and Jenkins pipelines.
• Experience with Agile software development methodology.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and a proven track record of achieving goals in a dynamic environment.
• Strong business acumen and excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding team player with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple functional areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a STEM field.
• Experience with web applications and cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Software development experience with Selenium, Python, JavaScript, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Familiarity with Big Data systems like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or other Distributed Systems.
• A solid understanding of programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of common machine learning techniques.

California Pay Range

$159,500—$193,000 USD
