About the Role

The Reference Data Product Manager will be pivotal in defining and delivering the next generation of reference data product capabilities. You'll partner with various stakeholders to identify customer needs, articulate product success, and guide your team to make these visions a reality. Your expertise will drive the strategy, roadmap, and features of our reference data products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand customer experiences, identify product gaps, and propose new ideas to enhance customer satisfaction and drive growth.
  • Secure buy-in for product vision from internal stakeholders and key Line of Business & Functional partners.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Function independently as a 'Product Owner,' managing deliverables, analyzing requirements, and creating JIRAs for technology teams.
  • Engage with stakeholders to distill requirements, support analysis with documents, scenarios, and wireframes as necessary.
  • Define product backlog, create user stories, prioritize them based on epics, and ensure development aligns with product strategy.
  • Prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver products swiftly and efficiently.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of our offerings.
  • Manage the reference data strategy team, including both onshore and offshore resources.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in product management or as an associate product manager.
  • Track record of managing successful products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems with 5+ years of experience as a technical or functional product manager preferred.
  • Advanced experience with agile tools such as JIRA, JIRA Portfolio, Confluence, etc.
  • Strong SQL development skills—proficient in writing complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Solid technical background with hands-on software development experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a passion for making a difference.
