About the Role

The selected candidate will leverage their industry experience in various domains including training vision models, multimodal systems, or video analytics to tackle some of the most critical and thrilling research issues in AI today. This role is not just about solving problems but about pioneering future technologies with worldwide impact. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable algorithms utilizing machine learning and neural networks.
• Work collaboratively with FAIR scientists on cutting-edge research in self-supervised learning and computer vision.
• Contribute to experimental design, implementation, evaluation, and the dissemination of research findings.
• Utilize expert coding skills and knowledge in relevant research domains for platform and framework development projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 4 years of industry experience in computer vision and/or deep learning technologies.
• Proven research prowess in computer vision, video understanding, and/or self-supervised learning.
• Experience in developing machine learning algorithms or infrastructure using Python and PyTorch.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain it throughout the employment period.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in an industry, academic, or government lab setting, focusing on computer vision or deep learning.
• Strong publication record in top-tier journals and conferences (ICCV, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
• Demonstrable experience in software engineering from previous job roles.
