Job Description

• As part of our team, you will take on the process-related development of innovative methods for the control, optimization, and monitoring of manufacturing processes using machine learning with a focus on metal processing.
• You will design sensor concepts and integrate them into existing manufacturing facilities.
• You will monitor the research environment or new procedures, methods, and trends regarding their suitability for the requirements of various Bosch products. Additionally, you will work closely with development partners in the field of plant and process development.
• The planning, implementation, and evaluation of complex series of tests as well as the preparation and presentation of independently worked results is part of your area of responsibility.
• Finally, you will independently work on research activities and the coordination of external studies with the development goal of project management.

Qualifications

• Education: Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, Cybernetics, Physics or similar, preferably with a relevant doctorate or equivalent professional experience
• Experience and knowledge: Broad knowledge in the field of manufacturing technologies for metals; in-depth knowledge in the field of process development, process simulation, and process optimization/control using artificial intelligence or machine learning
• Personality and working method: Communicative, goal-oriented, and possess methodological and analytical skills
• Enthusiasm: Interest in the development of innovative manufacturing technologies
• Languages: Excellent German and English skills
