Role Snapshot: Research Engineer, Science

As a Research Engineer embedded within our dynamic team, you will:

  • Engage in rapid prototyping of machine learning applications to address various scientific challenges.
  • Conduct exploratory work and analysis to shape future experiments and research directions.
  • Enhance machine learning models and architectures while developing tools to streamline research processes.
  • Collaborate closely with both internal and external experts across different scientific domains.
  • Communicate findings and progress effectively within the research community.

This role is ideal for those who thrive in experimental, data-intensive settings and are passionate about leveraging their skills in machine learning and science to drive innovation.

What We Look For

Successful candidates will typically have:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Practical experience with advanced machine learning techniques (e.g., Transformers, Diffusion Models).
  • Proficiency in programming languages used in ML and computing, such as Python or C++.
  • A solid foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and statistics, with hands-on data exploration and visualization skills.
  • Experience with ML frameworks like JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

Additional advantageous experiences include:

  • Optimizing machine learning models on a large scale.
  • Handling large, complex datasets.
  • Working multidisciplinary across diverse scientific fields.
