We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Research Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing our vision. This position is integral to our Mobile Telepresence team, which enhances mobile optimization to enable end-to-end mobile telepresence with optimal energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and development of parallel computing algorithms targeting high energy efficiency on VR/AR computing platforms.
  • Creation and refinement of a native toolchain for mobile telepresence, accelerating compilation and deployment on pioneering AR/VR platforms.
  • Collaboration across teams to analyze ML and DL algorithms, co-designing and customizing operators and modules to maximize efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in building compilers or runtime libraries for CV/ML applications on resource-constrained hardware.
  • Strong skills in C++ and Python programming.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow Lite, and ONNX.
  • Experience with Neon SIMD optimization, OpenCL, and understanding of ARM CPU, embedded DSP, and AI accelerator architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with embedded systems, Linux OS, driver development, and some Android development.
  • Background in custom compiler designs akin to MLIR and TVM, and accelerations like Graph CNN, and Variational Auto-Encoder.
