About the Role: Research Scientist - FAIR, AI Security

We are seeking a Research Scientist to explore novel AI solutions within our FAIR team, focusing on enhancing AI safety, countering deepfakes, and mitigating harmful content. You will be pivotal in developing state-of-the-art algorithms centered on open research and innovation in algorithmic watermarking and beyond. Our projects, such as the Stable Signature and AudioSeal models, exemplify our dedication to technological advancement and societal safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design and implement advanced algorithms.
• Train cutting-edge speech and language models on extensive datasets.
• Evaluate model performance meticulously to ensure robustness and reliability.
• Conduct pioneering research to address unsolved challenges in AI security, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD (or in the process of obtaining a PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
• Proven research experience in fields such as speech recognition, speech synthesis, machine translation, or deep learning.
• Proficiency in machine learning libraries (e.g., Pytorch, TensorFlow).
• Strong coding skills in Python and shell scripting.
• Eligibility to obtain work authorization in the hiring country and maintain it throughout the employment period.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing scalable machine learning models applicable to a variety of domains including speech recognition and machine translation.
• Demonstrated ability in large-scale model training, algorithm implementation, and system evaluation.
• Extensive publication record in prominent AI and machine learning conferences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
