Job Description

We are searching for a Research Scientist to bolster our research team that is focused on Data and AI Model Auditing. Your support in data engineering and software development process to convert our research findings into tangible prototypes will be essential. Specifically, your duties will be:

• Creating novel methods and algorithms for identifying data bias and systematic error detection in AI models, revealing results at leading AI venues, and implementing them on real problems.
• Enhancing data evaluation and model validation solutions for Bosch applications are also within your responsibilities.
• You will also be tasked to develop key machine learning features for AI release argumentation, such as detecting anomalies, identifying failures, and estimating uncertainties.
• Automating the auditing procedure to expedite the AI release process, for instance using foundational models and generative AI models.
• Evaluating the technological potential and preparing strategic recommendations for management.
• Significantly, you will also take part in generating and protecting intellectual property in this groundbreaking field, as well as producing top-tier publications, and developing tidy, efficient, well-tested, and well-documented code to support research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: An exceptional PhD in Deep Learning or Computer Vision with a solid publication record at top AI conferences (CVPR, ICLR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ICML, etc.)
• Experience and Knowledge: Expertise in developing and implementing cutting-edge deep learning algorithms; practical experience in dealing with foundational models is a bonus; proven independence, creativity and innovativeness in research; robust programming proficiency, particularly in Python; preceding industry experience at a high-tech corporation, say an industrial research environment, is a plus
• Personality and Working Practice: Highly self-driven, interested in implementing latest research findings into projects and services, and motivated to collaborate in an international team
• Languages: Proficient in English
