Position Overview: Research Scientist Intern, AI Systems Machine Learning (PhD)

Key Responsibilities

• Advance research in machine learning systems and technologies.
• Contribute to the development of scalable AI systems and resource-efficient computing.
• Perform empirical research and software development in Python, C++, or other programming languages.
• Collaborate with global teams to design advanced AI systems, striving for innovation in AI system architecture and sustainability.
• Publish and communicate your groundbreaking research results internally and to the wider academic community.

What We Are Looking For

• Current or soon-to-be Ph.D. candidates specializing in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Systems, or similar fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, systems design, or AI with a commendable track record in academic publications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C, or Lua, and experience with frameworks like PyTorch.
• Applicants must have work authorization in the intended country of employment.
• A strong inclination for practical and theoretical problem solving with data-driven models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing and optimizing AI systems on a large scale.
• A proven record of impacting previous organizations or projects positively through innovative research.
• Interest and ability to return to academic pursuits post-internship.
• Experience in contributing to open source communities, prior internships or work in tech environments, or participation in coding competitions.

Internship Duration and Location

We offer flexible internship durations ranging from 12 to 24 weeks, with multiple start dates throughout the year across our global offices. This opportunity provides a competitive monthly stipend ranging from $7,650 to $11,333, alongside other benefits.
