Job Description

• Join the team and take responsibility for developing methods to validate AI and Machine Learning (ML) processes, as well as collaborate with business units' validation teams to generate new concepts.
• You will carry out technology needs analysis with business units for both automated driving features and validations of low-dimensional time-series processing models.
• Besides, you will incorporate existing ML technologies into toolboxes for validating AI functions.
• Your responsibilities also include algorithm development and adapting available methods to specific use cases.
• You will implement and analyze prototype solutions that you will demonstrate in actual Bosch applications.
• Finally, you will work on publishing and patenting the outcomes and supervise PhD and MSc students.

Qualifications

• Education: A completed degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or similar fields.
• Experience and Knowledge:
  • Several years of experience in AI-related aspects of industrial product engineering, such as consumer products, automotive, or manufacturing, along with product release, safety standards, and methods.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ML algorithms and principles with a proven ability in software implementations of ML methods and algorithms in Python, including various environments and tools.
  • Proficiency in statistical methods including uncertainty quantification in applications, and the ability to translate formal methods into solutions for concrete engineering problems.
  • Several years of postdoc-level research experience and an excellent publication track record in ML or related fields.
  • A basic understanding of quality methods and safety is desirable.
• Personality and Working Practice: Highly motivated, innovative, and friendly team member with a willingness to take on responsibility.
• Enthusiasm: Interest in applying ML in real-world industry applications, such as automotive, manufacturing, or consumer products.
• Languages: Fluent in English.
