Job Description
Job Purpose
The responsible investment function at Evelyn Partners is part of the Investment Strategy Team. It assesses material risks to client investments based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations, and oversees stewardship and engagement activities. For clients who wish to incorporate non-financial considerations into their portfolios, this function also captures the adverse impacts these investments could have on the wider environment and society.
The function also:
- Supports investment managers with client needs relating to responsible investment.
- Provides regulatory reporting and voluntary sustainability-related disclosures on behalf of the investment management department for UN PRI, UK Stewardship Code, CDP among others.
- Engages with investee companies to promote transparency of reporting of ESG factors and encourages investees to manage and reduce risks where possible.
- Follows up engagement activity with proxy voting.
- Supports the ongoing integration of ESG considerations into Evelyn Partners' investment process, including implementing industry best practices and sustainability-related regulations.
A Data Analyst is required to extract and present data for investment managers and for regulatory reporting, reporting to the Senior Project Manager. They will be part of a team comprising sustainability specialists, data and stewardship analysts, and will work collaboratively with investment teams and other functions across investment management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist investment managers and responsible investment team members with various sustainability screens (negative and positive) and associated information using tools from third-party data vendors.
- Act as a support function for investment managers using tools from third-party data vendors.
- Produce regulatory reports for internal governance (e.g., SFDR/TCFD) and external disclosures.
- Produce other key sustainable and climate reports for senior management committees and the central investment process.
- Conduct data quality reviews and assurance projects to maintain accurate and reliable information on all relevant platforms and data sources.
- Ensure adequate support and maintenance of our relevant internal systems with Evelyn Partners’ support functions such as Finance, IT, or Business Intelligence.
- Liaise with other departments within Financial Services, such as our Fund and MPS Operations, to ensure responsible investment data and methodologies are consistent with the central process.
- Perform other tasks as required within the responsible investment function.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience in the sustainability and climate/environmental field.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills.
- Experience in modeling in Excel, including advanced Pivot tables, and using Python, SQL.
- Experience using sustainability data from various ESG data vendors.
- Knowledge and experience of MSCI climate tools and/or other climate data providers.
- Front office wealth management experience as the role involves integrating responsible investment into front office processes.
- Knowledge and experience implementing EU/UK ESG regulations such as TCFD for climate-related disclosures and the EU Sustainable
