Key Role: Take the lead in the research and development of innovative multi-agent robotic systems across a variety of operational domains and mission areas. As a Robotics Autonomy Engineer, engage deeply at the crossroads of software and hardware to conceptualize, design, and test pioneering autonomy capabilities aimed at solving complex challenges for our clients. Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and test advanced robotic systems for multi-agent environments.
  • Develop and implement new principles and concepts in technology.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams focusing on innovative autonomy solutions primarily for DoD clients.
  • Independently tackle complex technical problems and create advanced, innovative solutions.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

As an ideal candidate, you should have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in robotics or systems engineering, specifically with hardware elements such as circuits and sensors.
  • Proficiency in using Robot Operating Systems (ROS) for the development of messages, nodes, packages, or stacks.
  • Experience in backend software development using C++ or Python on embedded Linux platforms.
  • Familiarity with software maintenance practices, including version control and CI/CD processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in algorithms and software for mobile robot sensing, perception, localization, navigation, and behavior control.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing architectures and algorithms for multi-agent, distributed collaborative autonomy.
  • Proficiency with Docker image development and container deployment.
  • Strong background in Git-based version control systems.
  • Understanding of military strategies, operations, and tactics.
  • Experience leading technical teams in strategic planning and execution of projects.
  • Above-average client interaction skills with experience in advising and presenting results.
  • A Master's degree in Computer ETH00 or Engineering.
