Role Overview: Robotics Hardware Engineer - Mechanical

What We Are Seeking

We’re on the hunt for technical leaders with a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and proven experience in navigating the complexities of robotic assembly. Ideal candidates are proficient in orchestrating team efforts and instilling the discipline needed to build consistently reliable robots. While we don’t expect perfection, here are key qualifications we’re looking for:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience in complex hardware challenges.
  • Over 10 years of pertinent industry experience.
  • Expertise in selecting, assembling, and troubleshooting motors, motor controllers, and other electro-mechanical components.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks), including experience managing version control across large projects with multiple contributors.
  • A good grasp of technical drawing and sound GD&T practices.
  • Skilled in using common mechanical prototyping tools and processes such as mills, lathes, and printers.
  • Ability to use engineering analysis tools (e.g., Simulation, FEA, Python, Matlab).
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring peers and expanding beyond your technical discipline.
