Job Role: Robotics Software Engineer

As a Robotics Software Engineer at Universe Energy, you will play a crucial role in architecting and deploying the Bonobo robotic software. This involves the intricate processes of diagnosing, discharging, and disassembling EV batteries efficiently with autonomous robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the robotics software that guides the disassembly of incoming battery packs.
• Architect and design software integration of controls, perception functions, and path planning.
• Create and enhance robotic actions for disassembly, including sequencing, path planning, and collision avoidance.
• Integrate and validate control systems for industrial robotics and motion systems, enabling automated disassembly processes.
• Prototype, test, and refine robotic systems and control routines, transitioning from simulations to real-world applications.

Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in robotic path planning, control theory, sensor fusion, and digital signal processing within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in software development for industrial robotics applications.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, and Matlab-Simulink.
• Experience with robotic systems like Kuka, Fanuc, ABB, and industrial PLC programming.

How to Excel in This Role

• Experience with deep reinforcement learning in robotic control systems.
• Hands-on ability to process data from LIDAR, RADAR, and camera sensors.
• Advanced skills in industrial PLC programming and sensor integration.
