Main Role and Purpose: This position demands regular expansion, release, updating, and deletion of SAP material master data at the local level, adhering to established business procedures and rules. It entails managing local data processes for Sika US across more than 45 plants, and monitoring local master data for consistency and errors according to master data rules.
- Creation of SAP material master data at the local level for new items, applicable to all plants within Sika US following global Sika and US local business regulations.
- Executing mass modifications to SAP material master data according to local business requests.
- Authorization of all new materials post a thorough verification of local data creation and costing.
- Local deletion of materials according to local business requests, involving multiple data checks in SAP, BOM deletion flags, material master deletion flags, statuses, and submitting global deletion requests when necessary.
- Own the local process for new material workflow, involving communications with the local business for accurate information in new item requests, and ensuring timely completion of requests by local responsible individuals. This also includes training the local business in workflow processes as needed.
- Monitor local master data for errors via a web-based tool (DIC-data integrity centre). Resolve errors through data correction or coordinating with local responsible to make the necessary corrections.
- Assist local business with master data extracts/reports as required (including quarterly SKU report to local management).
- Assist in the analysis and resolution of cross-functional data challenges.
- Cooperate with the local integration team on data-related aspects of acquisition integrations and participate in any other necessary projects.
- Degree in Computer Sciences/Information Technology or equivalent experience. - Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or material management in a technical-industrial environment. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in data management (master data management) (preferred). - Knowledge/experience with Microsoft products including Windows 10 and Office 365 (Outlook and Teams). - Proficient with Microsoft Excel. - Knowledge/experience with SAP (preferred). - Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and potent problem-solving abilities. - Effectively prioritize tasks and escalate problems to management when needed. - Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision. - High accuracy and reliability in executing tasks, with strong attention to detail. - Willingness to travel.
