Salary band: $40,000-55,000 EUR

About the role and team

As a Senior AI Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in the expansion of our platform and the products it supports. You will be a part of one of our platform teams and will have the opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and iterate in creating solutions to complex issues. Our teams are autonomous and cross-functional, encompassing every role necessary to develop and enhance our products in the best possible way. You will be actively involved in the entire product development cycle from discovery to deployment. This includes aiding your team to identify issues and explore the feasibility and value of prospective ML-driven solutions; creating prototype solutions and conducting offline and online experiments for validation; collaborating with engineers and product managers to incorporate further iterations of those solutions into the products through integration, deployment, and scaling. You will play a part in establishing the team's objectives and key results, tracking product metrics, and analyzing changes in metrics and user behavior.

The initial focus of this role will be a team responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of our labeling processes and tool, training, monitoring, and deployment of systems and models for entity linking, text classification, and sentiment analysis, among other tasks, across multiple data types. This team also closely collaborates with the operation teams to ensure systems and models are properly maintained.

Requirements

About you

• You're a result-oriented data scientist who can take control of tasks from initiation to completion.
• You have 5 years of industry experience in creating a business impact by developing products that address user problems using ML and/or NLP.
• You possess strong communication skills with the ability to proactively engage with crucial technical and non-technical stakeholders within the organization.
• You have demonstrated proficiency in Python software development and are comfortable partnering with engineers to add value to the product.
• You hold an MSc in a field related to Data Science, Natural Language Processing, or Machine Learning.

Preferred:

• PhD in a field related to Data Science, Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning
• Experience in constructing, deploying, and maintaining deep learning models in production
• Industry experience using AWS or similar services
