Job Description

- Understand the needs of the business and have a comprehensive understanding of Tesco processes
- Build on Tesco processes and knowledge using Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.
- Ensure completion of tasks and transactions as per established KPIs
- Solve problems by considering various solution alternatives
- Interact with market leaders to understand problems; interpret business issues into analytical ones; maintain ownership over specific analyses and translate the outcomes to decision-makers
- Manipulate, analyze, and integrate large complex data sets from different sources, ensuring data quality and integrity
- Think proactively and develop analytical reports that contribute beyond basic requirements
- Be accountable for the timely delivery of high-quality work and respond to business requests
- Write detailed, structured, and efficient codes
- Increase value delivery by automating recurring tasks, generating reports, or refreshing dashboards
- Collaborate with colleagues to create, implement, and gauge the consumption of analyses, reports, and dashboards
- Contribute to the development of knowledge assets and reusable modules on GitHub/Wiki
- Understand business needs and the intricacies of Tesco processes
- Ensure the completion of tasks and transactions within agreed metrics
- Experience handling high volume, time-sensitive business and ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

Strong understanding of Business Decisions and skills for creating visualizations, self-service dashboards, and reports using Tableau & Basic Statistical Concepts (Correlation Analysis and Hypothesis Testing). Proficiency in data analysis using Advanced Excel, Advanced SQL, Hive, Python, and data warehousing concepts (Hadoop, Teradata), and automation via Alteryx, Python.
2-4 years of experience in analysis-oriented roles in domains such as Retail and Finance. Proficient in data analysis with Advanced Excel, Advanced SQL, and familiar with data warehousing concepts. Knowledge of automation with Alteryx, Python, and Tableau.
