About the Role

We’re seeking an individual to contribute to shaping the future of analytics at Ramp. This individual will allow Ramp to improve by 1% each day by creating data products and insights. They will be working closely with business stakeholders along with product, engineering, and design teams to prioritize and execute tasks, improve reporting and drive results and improve processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete analytics engineering development, creating models to offer and transform data to stakeholders and production systems

  • Encourage a culture of experimental design, testing schemes and best practices

  • Contribute to the culture of Ramp’s data team by shaping processes, tools, and systems that will enable us to make better decisions in a scalable way

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, data and design (P/E/D/D) teams to develop product roadmaps and measure success

  • Work closely with data engineering teams to capture, move, store, and transform raw data into highly actionable insights, and collaborate with business teams to translate those insights into action

What You Need

  • Strong understanding of SQL (preferably Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and efficient SQL query writing

  • Familiarity with BI tools (preferably Looker, Mode, Tableau or equivalent) and experience in delivering data insights through reports and dashboards

  • Record of delivering high quality products and features at scale

  • Ability to flourish in a swiftly progressing, consistently improving, start-up environment that focuses on problem solving through iterative technical solutions

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with the modern data stack (Fivetran / Snowflake / dbt / Looker / Hightouch or equivalents)

  • Strong perspective on analytics engineering development cycle (data modeling, version control, documentation + testing, best practices for codebase development)

  • Experience within the payments and financial technology space

  • Understanding of B2B enterprise sales cycle metrics and processes

About Our Teams

  • Product Analytics | Ramp’s Product Analytics team is dedicated to delivering data products and insights that shape Ramp’s product direction and enhance business value. The Product Analytics team is also responsible for expanding the platform through which new products are launched, tested, measured, and quality controlled. The team collaborates closely with engineering, product, and design teams.

  • Risk Analytics | Ramp’s Risk Analytics team is tasked with risk evaluation, and building risk infrastructure to scale to millions of businesses in the United States. Responsibilities include risk operations and underwriting, limit setting and pricing across financial products as well as fraud detection, regulatory reporting, and maintaining capital market relationships.

  • Growth Analytics | The Growth Analytics team at Ramp delivers data products and insights that enable Ramp to acquire new business and extend existing business and partnerships at scale. Current areas of focus include: Web & Martech, Outbound Automation, Customer Data Platform, Self-Service Product, GTM Strategic Finance, and Business Systems.

Compensation

  • The annual salary range for this role is $136,000-$160,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k))
