About the Analytics Engineering Team

Our Analytics Engineering team, a core part of the Business Intelligence & Analytics department at Outreach.io, prioritizes the empowerment of team members through the development of scalable and reliable data sets. We focus on aligning with core business metrics while also supporting the experimentation of new operational metrics to track business performance. By partnering across the organization, we empower all employees through education and tools for data enablement.

The Role

As an integral member of our team, you will be involved in the production, documentation, and curation of certified data sources and models to propel Outreach’s analytics capabilities. With your expertise, you will implement scalable coding practices, write efficient SQL, and maintain thorough documentation to facilitate future users. Embrace your role in transforming data pipelines into actionable models, enhancing the data utilization of our Analytics team and Data Champions across businesses.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

• Designing and documenting new datasets to unlock value across various business units.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to define and automate key business metrics.
• Optimizing data usage through various strategies including query reviews and dashboard audits.
• Leading the design, monitoring, and deployment of certified data sources and ensuring high standards of data reproducibility and compliance.

You bring proven SQL expertise, familiarity with modern ELT environments, and a history of proactive documentation. We value professionals equipped with a strong background in data strategy and an ability to facilitate education and data incorporation among team members outside the BI&A sector.

Key Qualifications:

• Expertise in SQL with a preference for experience in Postgres or Snowflake
• History of working in Business Analysis or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of data pipeline optimization, ML pipelines like Sagemaker, and multidimensional data modeling
• Experience with technologies such as Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and Tableau
