We're on the search for a dynamic Senior Applied Scientist who is passionate about leveraging machine learning to enhance audio and video technologies.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will apply cutting-edge machine learning techniques to enhance and develop new algorithms aimed at improving the audio and video quality of Skype and Teams. You will design, develop, and manage various components, tools, and systems integral to real-time media communication and collaboration. Your role will focus on driving independent investigations that contribute directly to product enhancement, securing patents, and scholarly publications.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance existing and craft novel algorithms to improve the quality of audio and video communication on Skype and Teams.
• Architect, develop, and maintain components and systems for real-time media interactions.
• Conduct independent research leading to marketable product features, patents, and publications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in statistics, predictive analytics, or research.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in developing high-performance speech enhancement models through both shipped products and academic publications.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in machine learning with proficiency in ML tools such as Pytorch and TensorFlow.
• Strong development skills with a strategic long-term vision in system architecture.
