Role Summary

As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will harness your expertise in machine learning, specializing in ranking and recommendation models, to lead the development and enhancement of our ranking systems. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize our algorithms, thereby playing a crucial role in advancing our technology and maintaining our competitive edge in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and innovate ML algorithms that improve the accuracy and effectiveness of our retrieval systems.
• Design scalable algorithms for large-scale ranking tasks while considering user engagement, diversity, and fairness.
• Perform exhaustive experiments and analyses to assess model performances and pinpoint improvement opportunities.
• Work alongside engineering teams to integrate ML models seamlessly into production environments.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry developments in machine learning and data retrieval, contributing to the intellectual growth of our company.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and innovation.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Substantial experience in research and application of ranking and recommendation ML models and LLMs in real settings.
• A demonstrated track record of meaningful contributions in a relevant field.
