Job Description and Qualifications

The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Senior Classification and Trade Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. This role is critical in ensuring our products are accurately classified for seamless importation and exportation from our nine global warehouse locations.

The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of established classification methodologies using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Order of Review. Expertise in worldwide import and export regulatory requirements is essential, along with familiarity with Participating Government Agencies (PGA) and their overseas equivalents.

In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills to review trade data, identify compliance risks, develop controls, and ensure the integrity of our classification database. Proficiency in running reports from SAP/GTS systems and other databases is required.

Position Responsibilities

  • Classify aerospace parts, components, tooling, assemblies, and kits under the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Sch B, ECCN, and USML.
  • Lead the classification process, including maintaining current master data and complying with various global controls and programs (e.g., Chemical Weapons Convention, Montreal Protocol).
  • Identify and ensure compliance with PGA requirements for importing shipments into the US and other countries with our facilities.
  • Apply CBP’s hierarchy of valuation methodologies for proper valuation on importing shipments.
  • Work with Customs Brokers to provide necessary trade data for compliance in import/export transactions.
  • Conduct research, interpret regulations, and perform impact analysis on trade controls.
  • Design Business Intelligence dashboards, metrics, and reports using standard applications to meet business objectives.
  • Engage with business partners to improve import and export processes and leverage the SAP ERP ecosystem (SAP GTS, SAP ECC, EDI flows, Oracle Database).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience with global import and export regulations.
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP GTS.
  • Strong Classification knowledge (Export Jurisdiction, ECCN, USML, HTS, Sch B).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Master’s degree.
  • Licensed Customs Broker.
  • CUSECO certification.
  • Experience with SQL coding and SAP BI tools, including data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Spotfire).
  • Knowledge of 19 C.F.R. and CBP importing requirements.
  • Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Familiarity with Commerce Control List.

Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and 10+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s degree + 8 years of related experience, 14 years of related work experience, etc.).
