Role Overview: Senior Compliance Data Analyst (Hybrid)

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will design, implement, and support advanced data analytics solutions for Compliance. Leveraging your analytics expertise, you will generate business insights and develop assurance solutions to support Swiss Re’s Compliance strategy. You will play a key role in executing our tech strategy by developing and maintaining Compliance Analytics solutions for use within the division and across Swiss Re.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Understanding compliance challenges and identifying solutions through data analysis and discussions with domain specialists.
  • Assessing the feasibility of positive outcomes and recommending analytical approaches.
  • Gathering, preparing, and modeling data, followed by evaluating and presenting results.
  • Developing sophisticated analytics use cases related to the control environment to assess risk management effectiveness.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced data analytics solutions using our data analytics platforms and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Assurance team to define Continuous Monitoring for specific Compliance risks and formulate data-driven approaches including analysis or advanced visualizations.
  • Work with Compliance stakeholders to generate insights for risks such as Money Laundering and Bribery & Corruption, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to provide interactive and visual insights for Compliance staff during risk assessments.
  • Support the development of Key Risk Indicators for key Compliance risks.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and other data analytics teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.

About You

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python (PySpark, Pandas), SQL, and understanding of Apache Spark.
  • Proven experience in data transformation, preparation, data modeling, and visualization practices.
  • Understanding of ML modeling and experience with MS Power BI is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams with both technical and non-technical individuals in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • High-level understanding of Compliance or related fields such as risk management or audit is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • A university degree in a numerate field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics) is preferred.
  • Curious nature with a desire to learn and explore complex topics.

Additional Activities/Accountabilities

  • Perform other task-related roles as instructed.
  • Provide cover for roles within the team as needed.

This job offer is suitable for individuals affected by the invasion of Ukraine. The minimum gross monthly base salary for this full-time role is 2,900 EUR. Our final offer will be competitive and based on your skills and experience. Additional rewards and benefits include a performance-based bonus.
