What You Will Do:

As a Senior Google Cloud Data Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Dataflow, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Handle data transformation and ingestion from diversified sources like relational and NoSQL databases, along with streaming services.
• Create and manage robust data lakes and warehouses utilizing BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Ensure high standards of data quality and consistency in preparation for analytics.
• Develop semantic layers to integrate data from multiple systems effortlessly.
• Adopt database as code methodologies using tools like Terraform or Cloud SQL.
• Effectively use GCP products for superior data management and governance.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to meet data requirements and derive meaningful insights.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in data engineering technology and practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience, specifically with GCP.
• Proficiency in Vertex AI, Vertex GenAI, Python, SQL/DBMS, GCP Cloud, data pipelines development, GKE + Dockers.
• Comprehensive understanding of data modeling, transformation, and quality.
• Knowledge in SQL, Python, and graph databases like Neo4j or TigerGraph.
• Strong foundation in cloud computing concepts and services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
