Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Consultant in Data Science & Analytics, with a sharp focus on Financial Services (FS), to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on diverse client engagements and internal projects within our data science accelerator, Heka (). As a crucial part of our global data science team, you'll design and implement solutions that address intricate client needs both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with client leadership, engineers, program managers, and data analysts to understand and address business requirements.
• Lead or support client projects, backed by senior leadership, to process and analyze relevant data sources.
• Apply your expertise in data analytics to uncover trends, develop predictive models, and craft machine-learning algorithms.
• Deliver insights through various mediums such as presentations, dashboards, and custom-built bots.
• Drive innovation by participating in the development of tools, models, algorithms, and datasets.
• Play an integral role in training initiatives and thought leadership to promote data science within the region.
• Engage in business development by preparing proposals and conducting market research.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Data Science, Engineering, or Analysis, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a profound understanding of compliance, banking, and asset management.
• Advanced degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields from a prestigious university.
• Proficiency in Python and ideally one other analytics language (e.g., R, SQL, Scala).
• Proven capability in data handling, model building, and output delivery.
• Excellent command of English and, preferably, knowledge of Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese due to regional collaboration.
• Experience with data visualization tools and cloud infrastructure is highly advantageous.
