Role Overview

As a Quantitative Analyst within PayPal's GADS organization, you'll tackle critical business problems in one of the company's most strategic domains—Merchant Services. Your role will be pivotal in driving revenue and margin growth, impacting top company KPIs. This opportunity places you at the heart of key business decisions, ensuring merchants experience the best possible services.

Team Collaboration

Our Enterprise Customer Success (ECS) Quantitative Analysts are adept at solving varied challenges to enhance merchant engagement and boost PayPal’s revenue and margins. You will work closely with business leaders, product experts, data scientists, and engineers to transform analytical insights into actionable outcomes, enhancing business growth for top merchants globally.

Your Impact

Quantitative Analysts at PayPal profoundly understand the company's business objectives, contributing immensely to its top and bottom lines. As an individual contributor, you will generate analyses and actionable insights to shape business strategies, focusing on critical KPIs like Revenue and Transaction Margin. Collaborating with partners, you will develop solutions, track financial and operational metrics, and support business growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop new solutions and innovative approaches to tackle significant, ambiguous problems.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from business leaders to investigate vital business aspects.
  • Use data mining, model building, segmentation, and other analytical techniques to identify key trends in the merchant portfolio.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to support new initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in Analyst or Analytics roles with large-scale datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills to break down business requirements into analytical plans and execute them.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Python.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interaction with both engineers and business leaders.
  • A keen interest in developing new solutions and innovative approaches to complex problems.
