Job Description: Senior Data Analyst (8 month FTC/contract)

As a Senior Data Analyst at Abcam, you will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced reporting and dashboards. This position requires a professional who can effectively work with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate within the Data & Analytics teams, and manage technical delivery for one or more projects.

Your expertise in Tableau, data visualization, and analysis is paramount, as these skills are critical in our fast-paced environment. This role is a vital part of our decentralized analytics team committed to delivering actionable insights across the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Influence and collaborate across departments to identify and define analytical needs.
• Support and guide analysts in report building within our solutions.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and manage a catalog of metrics and dimensions.
• Oversee the dashboard lifecycle and manage data pipelines prioritization.
• Ensure the reliability and accuracy of senior management reporting systems.
• Handle user license allocations, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Lead migration programs for transitioning between reporting platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• A relevant master’s degree would be advantageous.
• At least 5 years of experience in data modeling and visualization techniques.
• Deep proficiency in Tableau and SQL. Python knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a history of driving insights that produce business value.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to thrive independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
